As a group we worked to find a mentor which was actually difficult in working to understand what exactly he does when picking a stock. We met with Greg Luerken a day trader who works in trading stocks that are different than the one we have been trading. Instead he trades options which have an arguably better profit margin which could make them be said to be the better option. When meeting with Greg we distinguished some stocks with what we considered: above average potential for growth and went to try to get his input. After we worked with him researching these standard stocks he started to try to convince us to look into option stocks instead of normal stocks. When he went and tried to convince us to try options instead of standard it seemed more complex to me, but yet seemed like it was a safer alternative. This changed my views on trading stocks and opened my eyes to option stocks which I didn't know much about before. We may change our project to include options stocks after this.

First week now unsure of everything
We have an idea to work with the stock market and attempt to find a formula for those buying into the stock market for the first time. WE are trying to see how we can do in the stock market acting like adults to get valuable experience that we can later use in the future. Doing a project about the stock market is actually a quite useful idea. This can work to teach us about economics in a hands on way that isn't just some children's game.
